Online Degrees Recognised as Equivalent to On-Campus Degrees
The UGC has formally declared that degrees obtained through Online Mode are equivalent to those earned through traditional, campus-based education. This applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, offering students the same academic and professional recognition — provided the program meets all UGC norms.
Pursue Dual Degrees Simultaneously (NEP 2020 Approved)
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students now have the option to pursue two academic degrees at the same time. These can be undertaken in Online, ODL, or Regular formats, offering flexibility and the opportunity to build a stronger, more diverse academic profile — increasing their career prospects in today’s competitive job market.
Exclusive Online Access for Indian Nationals Abroad
As per UGC regulations, Indian citizens residing outside the country are eligible to enroll only in Online Mode programs offered by Indian universities. ODL and on-campus formats are not available for this category. This ensures consistent academic delivery and adherence to regulatory guidelines for the Indian diaspora.
